Professional charter
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This charter sets out the commitments to quality, safety and consideration expected of professionals who represent MiitBook to readers.
1. Accurate and approved profile
Professionals provide accurate information about their identity, experience, languages, specialities and qualifications. They keep their profile, photo and introduction video up to date. Publishing a profile requires manual approval by the MiitBook team after reviewing the application, without mandatory identity document or facial verification by an external provider.
2. Presenting books
The books presented have actually been read by or are known to the professional. Each recommendation clearly distinguishes the book’s author from the professional recommending it. Photos, summaries and comments respect copyright and do not unlawfully reproduce the book’s content.
3. Quality of guidance
Professionals prepare their sessions, listen to the reader’s goals and offer suitable, clear and respectful guidance. They do not promise a guaranteed result and honestly state the limits of their expertise.
4. Availability and punctuality
Published time slots must be genuinely available. Professionals join sessions on time, give notice as soon as possible if they cannot attend and offer an alternative consistent with MiitBook’s cancellation rules.
5. Rates and payments
Professionals display their rates transparently and do not arrange payments intended to bypass the platform for a relationship initiated on MiitBook. They review the amounts, commissions and payout terms displayed in their account area before accepting a service engagement.
6. Respect and protection of readers
Any discrimination, pressure, manipulation, harassment or inappropriate solicitation is prohibited. Exchanges remain focused on the agreed service. Greater vigilance is required when the reader is a minor or vulnerable.
7. Confidentiality
Information received about a reader is used only to provide the service. It must not be copied, shared or used for other purposes. Documents and exchanges remain within approved tools where this is necessary for their protection.
8. Community participation
In rooms and posts, professionals contribute constructively, report dangerous content and respect moderation decisions. Their status gives them no right to exert pressure on or receive preferential treatment over other members.
9. Reports and quality control
MiitBook may review a session, a review, a report or an inconsistency in a profile while respecting confidentiality rules. Professionals cooperate in good faith, respond to relevant requests and correct reported issues within the specified time.
10. Measures in the event of a breach
Depending on the seriousness and recurrence of a breach, MiitBook may request a correction, restrict certain functions, suspend publication of the profile or close the account. Situations presenting an immediate risk to users may lead to suspension without delay.
