Our sufficiency in Christ

John MacArthur, John MacArthur

Surprisingly, the most dangerous and effective attack on the Bible today is coming from those who call themselves Bible-believing Christians. Tragically, this attack isn't meeting vigorous resistance from the church. In fact, it is so subtle and gradual that it has largely gone unnoticed. Those who have fallen prey still openly affirm that the only spiritual resources they need are found in the Bible and Christ -- they say they are complete in Christ, that he is sufficient. But a close look at the teaching embraced by countless Christians today shows they are really looking for something more -- they're seeking to build a deeper, emotionally exciting and self-edifying Christian experience not found in the Bible. Integrating a mixture of biblical truths and seemingly helpful man-made methods, they wallow in a watered-down pseudo-Christianity that diametrically contradicts a life secure in the sufficiency of Christ. In Our Sufficiency in Christ, John MacArthur exposes the three deadly -- and all-too-prevalent -- influences crippling churches today and explains how to protect yourself from them. - Back cover.
