Pirates' Lair

Jane Corrie

Love after tragedy, tragedy after love... The Virgin Islands seemed to offer Thea a new life. But when she arrived she discovered that her brother, Michael, had just died. Michael's boss, Marcus Conan, helped Thea through it all. She wasn't aware of the moment in which her gratitude turned to love, but love him she did - and accepted his proposal of marriage with joy. Then Sapphire Durley burst Thea's dream bubble. "Love you?" the sophisticated Sapphire said, "Never. It's only pity."
