Unbuilt roads

Hans Ulrich Obrist, Guy Tortosa

"Featuring unrealized projects from over one hundred prominent artists -- from Laurie Anderson to Jeff Wall -- this book documents work that was often too revolutionary to ever be assembled. Included among the entries are a rejected Time magazine cover by Robert Rauschenberg, objects which artist Christo was unable to "wrap", and the design by Claes Oldenburg for an as-yet-unbuilt banana-shaped home. Provocative, inspired, and with an abundant variety of vision, Unbuilt Roads takes conceptual art to new levels"--Publisher description.
