Houses of Boston's Back Bay

Bainbridge Bunting

"With 250 superb illustrations to accompany his text, Bainbridge Bunting focuses on a significant architectural form--the town house--and chronicles its development throughout the period of the Back Bay's greatest growth. His study covers the adoption and eventual discard of every local architectural style from the mansarded French Academic to the Georgian Revival--all of which later gained national acceptance"--Back cover.
