vHer heart rending choice: her love, or her career in medicine. Beautiful, rich and pampered, Romaine Manning's only interest had been her cherished career in medicine. But suddenly the love of two men turns her world upside down. Jeff Elster, a racing driver, is devoted to Romaine, but can't resist other women. Ian Vannery, gentle, artistic, trapped in a nightmare marriage, meets Roamine and finds real love for the first time. Wounded by the infidelities of one and fearful of hurting the other, Romaine buries herself in her work. But her heart aches with loneliness - loneliness that only a man can heal.
